Energy Efficiency

Energy Efficiency

Energy efficiency is a critical factor in the selection of modern building materials, which are of great importance in terms of environmental sustainability and economic savings in today’s world. In this context, criteria such as U-factor, R-value and G-value come to the fore as the main criteria for evaluating the performance of materials.

The U-value or U-factor, known as the heat transfer coefficient, measures the amount of heat transferred through the parts of a building. It simply refers to how much cold or heat moves from the outside of your home to the inside. Like each component of a window, the frame value and glazing value perform differently, and these combine to make up the overall window value. Lower U-values mean greater energy savings, lower monthly bills and a more comfortable and stable indoor temperature.

R-value refers to a material’s resistance to heat flow. A higher R-value indicates that the material forms a better barrier against heat transfer and thus provides better insulation. Using materials with high R-values in building elements such as walls, roofs and floors improves the energy efficiency of buildings.

The G-value indicates how much of the sunlight a window lets in. Glass with low G-value blocks most of the solar heat and prevents overheating of buildings in summer. This feature saves energy by reducing the use of air conditioning, especially in buildings in hot climates.

Heat gain and loss occurs through direct conductivity, radiation and air leakage of building elements. By using specially designed insulation materials and glazing techniques, this heat transfer is optimised, thus increasing the energy efficiency of buildings.

As a result, metrics such as U-factor, R-value and G-value are critical in assessing the performance of building materials in terms of insulation and energy efficiency. Our company has adopted this scientific approach and uses the most suitable materials for PVC door and window systems by taking these criteria into account. Energy efficiency is not only an environmental responsibility, but also a smart investment that saves costs in the long term. By choosing our products, you significantly increase the energy efficiency and comfort of your home or workplace. This investment will pay for itself over time and will be an important step towards a sustainable future.
